2025: A Year of Investment, Stewardship and Community at Brooklands Property Holdings

Brooklands Properyt Holdings: A Year of Investment, Stewardship and Community

As 2025 draws to a close, we’re proud to reflect on another strong year for Brooklands Property Holdings – a year defined by long-term investment, responsible stewardship and meaningful connections with the communities we serve.

Our approach remains consistent: to invest in, manage and care for our spaces for the long term. From supporting local businesses and improving our buildings, to championing sustainability and community causes, 2025 has been a year of steady progress and shared success for our team.

Our Portfolio at a Glance

Brooklands’ diverse commercial portfolio continues to support businesses across the region. In 2025, our holdings comprised a balanced mix of office, trade and industrial, retail and residential spaces, with 69 businesses operating across our sites. All of our spaces are privately owned, actively managed and retained with a long-term view – ensuring stability for occupiers and resilience for the local economy.

Investing in Buildings and People

Behind every building are people, businesses and livelihoods. Throughout 2025, we reinvested across the portfolio to ensure our spaces continue to meet the evolving needs of those who use them.

Over the year, we completed nearly 24,000 sq ft of refurbishments, delivered more than 9,000 sq ft of newly completed construction, and completed 21 lease transactions covering over 63,000 sq ft. These investments support everyday activity, local employment and long-term economic sustainability.

Retention, Not Rotation

We measure success differently. Rather than focusing on frequent turnover, we prioritise stability, trust and occupier retention.

In 2025, we achieved an impressive 98.08% occupancy rate, with more than 55% of lease transactions coming from renewals or existing occupiers relocating within the Brooklands’ portfolio. This speaks to our commitment to creating places where businesses choose to stay, grow and thrive.

Sustainability in Action

Sustainability at Brooklands Property Holdings is about practical action and long-term improvements that benefit tenants, visitors and the environment alike.

Half of all new construction completed during the year included solar panel installations, while our owned EV chargers produced 60,000 kWh of electricity – equivalent to approximately 2,383 fuel-free miles travelled! These initiatives are part of our ongoing commitment to reducing environmental impact while enhancing our sites.

Nature at Hesslewood

Hesslewood Office Park is more than just a place to work – it’s a place where nature thrives.

In 2025, our bee colonies grew from three to eight, producing 44kg of Hesslewood Honey. We also welcomed the birth of four peacocks at Hesslewood 2025, planted 680 trees and plants, and maintained 10 bug hotels. These initiatives help support biodiversity and create a unique, enriching environment for occupiers and visitors alike.

Community and Charity

Community sits at the heart of everything we do, and 2025 marked our biggest charity year yet!

We donated £19,756.57 through the Hesslewood Charitable Causes Fund and Brooklands businesses, alongside providing ongoing support for North Ferriby RDA. A record-breaking Classic Cars at Hesslewood event raised £11,526.62 for Humber Rescue – made possible by the generosity and support of the sponsoring businesses, vehicle exhibitors, vendors, and the visiting public. These achievements reflect the power of collaboration and shared purpose.

Supporting Local Sport

We’re proud to support grassroots sport and local teams that play such an important role in strengthening our communities. In 2025, we sponsored Hull Hawks women’s hockey, West Hull Bobcats U13s rugby, North Ferriby U9s football, and the Hessle Sportive summer tournament – helping young people and teams thrive both on and off the pitch.

Looking Ahead

Thank you to our occupiers, partners and communities for being part of another successful year. Our focus remains unchanged: long-term thinking, responsible investment and creating places people are proud to be part of.

Here’s to another year of stewardship, stability and shared success.
